Understanding Elektrim Catalog & Part Numbers

The Elektrim part number consists of a number and letter prefix combination which indicates the series the motor belongs to and that motor's basic mounting configuration. This is typically followed by indicators for phase, horsepower and rpm. Suffix letter(s) and/or number(s) may also be used do denote additional product information.
We utilize the term “series” to distinguish groups of our motors within a particular product line that have the same set of unique features and country of manufacture. For customer ease, the series is the same as the part number prefix, and is usually the first 2 digits and succeeding letter. The following two letters typically denote the type of mount on the motor. For example, the series that motor part number 31NFM-3-5-18 belongs to is “31N," and the mount is "FM" indicating that it is a foot mounted motor. Other popular mount indicators are "CM" = C-Flange motor, "DM" = D-Flange motor, etc.
