Warehouse Associate

Description

At Elektrim, a Warehouse Associate’s primary focus includes receiving, picking customer orders, packing, shipping, storing, handling, loading, and unloading of trucks, cycle counting while maintaining the warehouse in a safe and orderly fashion. The successful candidate will be an energetic, reliable self-starter who can work well with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Process, pick, pack, and ship orders accurately

  • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately

  • Cycle count inventory

  • Communicates to Supervisor and or Customer Service on any product related issue that will affect a customer order.

  • Control and organize storage and inventory space

  • Inspect product for defects, proper packaging, and labels

  • Prepare domestic/international shipping documentation and other related paperwork

  • Keep warehouse cleaned and organized

  • Contribute ideas on ways to improve or optimize warehouse procedures

  • Completes other duties as assigned in support of larger organization goals.

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • 3-5 years warehouse experience in an independent environment

  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done

  • Capable of working independently

  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems

  • Forklift certification and/or the ability to successfully complete forklift training and operate machinery safely

  • Basic math and reasoning skills

  • Must have the ability to stand for 80% of the workday

  • Capability to lift and move up to 50lbs unassisted.

  • Ability to understand and execute instructions

  • Ability to operate inventory control equipment: hand-held devices
